How far away can you record and still head audio? ...
How far away can you record and still head audio? Up to how many feet distance?
It depends on what you're recording and the amplitude of the subject. It is a stereo mic, so if you were recording outside ambient nature or street sounds, or a concert, it would be very similar to what your ears would hear. If it is dialogue, within 6 feet would be optimum, once you get past that you start to lose lower end frequencies more and more of the further you get. You can easily hear a person speaking 10 feet away or longer, but you loose those lower frequencies.
