The SmartOffice PT2160 Document Scanner from Plustek is designed to digitize your papers and documents quickly and efficiently. A 100-sheet ADF lets you scan checks, ID cards, passports, and letter and legal-sized documents, and the unit offers an optical resolution of 600 x 600 dpi for sharp and color-accurate scans. Simplex scan speeds are an impressive 60 ppm, and duplex scan speeds are equally impressive at 120 ipm. Normal scanning allows working with documents up to 8.5 x 14", while a long scan mode allows scans up to 200". You can set up to nine customizable profiles, and a thickness switch is provided for working with normal and thin documents. The PT2160 is also equipped with an ultrasonic multi-feed detector, which accurately detects errors when two or more pages are fed at the same time. The scanner supports USB 3.0 to facilitate high-speed data transmission between the scanner and the computer, and for ease of use, the unit is bundled with Plustek OCR and Plustek DocAction professional button configuration software.
