ATEN CN9950 Overview

Add remote access capabilities to a single PC or workstation with the CN9950 1 Local/Remote Shared Access DisplayPort KVM over IP Switch from ATEN. This switch provides protection from hackers to work-from-home environments with streamlined connectivity to a remote server.

You can support up to 32 users on a single CN9950, giving them access to a single workstation with DCI 4K 4096 x 2160 resolution video at a 30 Hz refresh rate via DisplayPort input and output interfaces. Audio support allows you to send and receive sound signals through the speaker and microphone interface. The CN9950 emulates keyboard and mouse support for easy connectivity and operation. A DI and relay connection allows you to add temperature, humidity, and door sensors to your rig for additional monitoring and virtual power-on remote features.

Multiplatform Support
Multiplatform support allows you to use this KVM with a wide range of Windows, Mac, Sun, and Linux systems and offers browser-based utility access.

Mini-USB port in the front serves as a Virtual Media USB port or a Laptop USB Console (LUC) port.
Reliable Power
Power cables use screw locks to prevent accidental interruptions and power status is displayed via LED indicators.

Virtual media also includes USB 1.1 and 2.0 DVD/CD and mass storage drive support along with PC hard drives, folders, and ISO images.
Usable Integrated GUI
Virtual remote desktop features enabled full-screen video or scalable display functions along with BIOS-level access, an on-screen keyboard, and more.
Advanced Security
Advanced security options are available including Smart Card/CAC reader support, external authentication support, IP/MAC filter, Private CA, and more.
Integrated Management Tools

We have several of these in our data centers. They work as advertised. You need special cables to convert display port to hdmi.

Issues with video

Apparently this is a known issue as per 3 different vendors (other than B&H). The video doesn't work, regardless of hardware. I don't wish to mention the other vendors but I purchased a second unit from a separate vendor using a separate account thinking I received a single faulty unit but the second unit had the same issue. Video was tested utilizing 3 different PC/Servers, all Windows. Perhaps these function correctly using Linux. Be ready to test early before the return window closes. Contacting the other two vendors for a different product they both sold the ATEN 9950 and were aware of the video issue.
