The Sony NP-FW50 Fully Decoded Dummy Battery + 5V/2A Single USB Cable from DigitalFoto allows the use of a USB power source to power devices that use a Sony NP-FW50 battery. It includes a dummy battery with a 2.1mm female connector and a 2.1mm male to USB Type-A cable to provide USB power to your device.
This dummy battery fits into the camera's existing Sony NP-FW50 battery socket and features a built-in emulator chip that delivers power status data to the camera. Proper operation of this adapter requires a USB power source with a minimum 5V, 2A output, and it provides an output to your device of 7.4 to 8.4 VDC. When connected, the dummy battery cable and USB extension measure 6.5' in length.
