DigitalFoto Solution Limited DC21 Overview

Power your DSLR camera or gear that uses an LP-E6 battery using mains power with this Canon LP-E6 Full-Decoding Dummy Battery & AC-E6 Power Adapter from DigitalFoto. The power adapter includes an LP-E6 dummy battery cable with a 2.1mm DC barrel connector and an AC-E6 AC wall plug adapter.

The LP-E6 dummy battery is fully decoded so it will be recognized as a battery by your gear and provide the proper power information to your camera. It features a 2.1mm DC barrel connector on the other end of its cable that plugs into the female 2.1mm barrel connector on the 110 to 240 VAC US wall plug adapter. The total length of the adapter cable and wall plug cable measures 6.6'.

After connecting all the cords and plugging it in, the unit's green light came on, but it did not supply power to either my 5D or 5D Mark IV. I had been prepared for my camera to indicate it wasn't OEM, but it never got that far as I couldn't even turn the camera on. Very dissatisfied.

This is a godsend during a product shoot, when your camera is set up for overhead. No more lowering the camera to change the battery twice a day! HOWEVER, since this is an off-brand, it will not provide enough power for tethered shooting. This is best when using an external monitor for live view.
