Applied Acoustics Systems Post Rock is a sound pack powered by Strum GS-2. Leaving the familiar rock territory, it draws upon a wealth of distinctive alternative rock genres, from the spaced-out hypnotism of the underground post-rock scene, to the ripped-jeans energy of '90s-era grunge, to the chugging and overdriven riffs of chart-storming British alt-rock bands. The pack also adds in shades of blistering high-gain drone metal and post-hardcore riffs for good measure.
Post Rock brings your productions atmosphere and spaciousness with sparse and icy rhythms, tensed and muted riffs, as well as full-throttle distortion freakouts. Expertly crafted by UK sound designer Niall McCallum, Post Rock offers 84 acoustic and electric guitar presets with 12 styles and 84 strumming patterns—playable with your own chord progressions. There are 7 loops per strumming style with tempos ranging from 90 to 130 BPM.
Post Rock can be played with the included AAS Player or played and edited with the Strum GS-2 synthesizer (available separately). The software runs on Mac and Windows computers and is compatible with virtually every DAW. It can be used as a standalone or as a plug-in with VST2, VST3, RTAS, and AAX Native support for Mac and Windows, and additional AU support for macOS. It is also NKS-ready.
