I was on the hunt for a ball head with a hefty max camera weight. This was half the price of the Modern Studio Equipment version, and it comes in black. It's a super nice looking and very high quality piece of rigging. Every grip thats touched it loves it 😆 Industry standard means it's compatible with the Modern hood mount and hostess tray.. A

I bought this to go with a Modern Studio Hostess Tray. It's a very solid piece of gear and has come in handy on a number of specialty rigging situations. Hood mounts, roof mounts, pretty much any time I need a low profile and funky angle this works great.
