Can the head tilt so camera can be perpendicular to ground?
The ProAm USA Orion 8' DVC210 Crane alone will not allow you to point the camera 90 deg towards the ground. However if you add a Video head you will be able to achieve this.

On this boom, can you turn the camera left and right while in action?
You wouldn't turn left or right so much as swing left or right. Camera is always facing forward and the boom arm can rotate on the tripod base if the camera needs to see what is to the left or right of it.

Can this be used for either the canon XA-10 or XF-105 Camcorder?
The ProAm USA Orion DVC210 Camera Crane can take a payload of 10 lbs. the XA10 is approximately 3 lbs and the XF105 4 lbs in working order so you are good to go with either camera.

It all depends on the configuration. The camera might only be a few lbs but you have to add the lens, battery and any accessories. If you keep under the 8 lbs capacity, you can use this crane.
