Sony Olivine Overview

Power your camera and video gear with this BP-FL75 12.8V Olivine Lithium-Ion V-Mount Battery from Sony. The BP-FL75 is constructed with olivine lithium-ion phosphate, offering a longer life and quicker charging times (with BC-L90 or BC-L70A chargers) when compared to conventional lithium-ion batteries.

This 76Wh battery supports up to a 10A draw and has built-in sensors to protect it from voltage and temperature fluctuations. A 4-LED push-button gauge displays the remaining battery power.

Unless a battery is actually re-celled refurbishing it will bring it back to 60% - 80% of the original capacity. B&H claims these are as new which is incorrect and misleading.

does what its' suppose to do, but would love to have it come with a way to charge besides the $$charging station.

When the battery description reads "refurbished" does this mean it has been re-celled?

It was checked by Sony and brought back to new condition in a Sony factory.

According to Sony, The Olivine battery charges in half the time of conventional lithium-ion batteries with Sonys BC-L90 quick charger. They go on to say It can also be used with standard battery chargers with normal charging times.

The BP-FL75 can use standard battery chargers such as Sony AC-DN10 AC Adaptor/Charger with normal charging times. To get the shortest charging times, use Sonys BC-L90 quick charger.
