The Indiemark Lens Encoder from LOLED Virtual allows you to capture and send lens barrel rotation data to 3D virtual production applications, including Unreal Engine 4, Unity, and Aximmetry. The encoder is managed by the included free-download LOLED LONET lens mapping software for Windows. Through this software, you can send the lens adjustment data to 3D production applications.
The encoder is capable of providing a 1:1 correlation between a physical and virtual camera lens. Delivering 2000 counts per revolution, it's able to detect movement smaller than human hair, and the translated lens data is sent with sub-frame latency at 60 fps via the USB Type-C interface at up to 500 Hz.
The Indiemark Lens Encoder is created for smaller productions and enthusiasts. It has a rod-mount design and comes with a 19mm rod clamp as well as a 19 to 15mm reducer. Its compact size allows you to use it with handheld rigs and gimbals. The rod clamp is height adjustable to match a variety of lens sizes, including small lenses. The supplied lens gear features a 0.8 MOD for cine lenses but is interchangeable with optional 0.6 and 0.5 MOD gears for ENG lenses. The encoder also offers a built-in 1/4"-20 thread that lets you attach it to encoding sliders and other off-camera equipment.
