The Teradek Cube 655 encodes up to 1080p video in real time into high-quality, low-bandwidth H.264 proxies, so it can stream using the Frame.io cloud network (with separate subscription). The Frame.io network allows an end user to view the video footage in real time using a web app, tablet, or smartphone, while also delivering proxies to an editor, so they can edit on the fly. The Sound Devices 888 recorder can record up to 16 channels of WAV or AAC audio and output the audio via its RJ45 Ethernet port using Dante I/O. The recorder is compatible with separately available Wi-Fi and 4G LTE adapters for direct streaming to the Internet.
The Cube 655 can utilize the included SD card to simultaneously record the live stream as a backup, and the and the 888 sound recorder features a built-in 256GB SSD and an SD card slot to record a local audio backup. The included D-Tap cable allows you to utilize a separate source to power the Cube 655 such as a V-mount or Gold mount battery, or you can power it using the included battery plate with a separately available LP-E6 or L-series battery. The L-bracket allows you to mount the battery plate directly onto the Cube 655. The protective case fits all the items in the Cube video kit and the audio bag allows you to maintain access to all the audio recorder controls while recording in the field.

Firmware v8.10 Supports GainForward Architecture for A20-Mini
- The A20-Mini transmitter introduces GainForward, a new feature that eliminates the need to adjust microphone preamplifier gain at the wireless transmitter. Audio levels from the transmitter are controlled either directly at the mixerโs trim control or at the wireless receiver.
- When the A10-RX receiving an A20-Mini signal is slotted into an SL-2 or SL-6, the A10-RX Input menu settings are bypassed and all gain, low cut, and limiter activity are performed and controlled by the 833, 888, or Scorpio. Trim gain range is 0 to 60 dB for the 8-Series channel receiving signal from the A20-Mini.
- A10-RX Receiver Setup screens show limiter, high-pass filter, and clipping status of the associated 8-Series channel when receiving signal from the A20-Mini.
- Jam A20-Mini timecode from 8-Series using a standard USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable from Menu > Timecode/Sync > Jam A20-Mini.
- New SuperSlot menu option โUse Transmitter Namesโ automatically applies the A10-TX and A20-Mini transmitter names to the associated 8-Series Track Name.

Teradek Cube 655 H.264 HD Encoder
The Teradek Cube 655 is a real-time H.264 encoder with 3G-SDI and HDMI inputs. It encodes up to 1080p video at bit rates up to 15 Mbps, allowing for high-quality images to be streamed over Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or USBย (Wi-Fi streaming is limited to 10 Mbps). When bandwidth is limited, adaptive bit rate allows the Cube to automatically adjust and stream at the highest quality possible. The Cube 655 can ingest up to 1080p60 signals, but outputs them at a frame rate of 30 fps (or lower, per your selection), for a max output of 1080p30.
Cube 655 features support for 33-point 3D LUTs, as well as Pomfort LiveGrade integration that lets you monitor graded footage on the set or afterwards. Looks can be applied to the stream or controlled separately using the free Teradek TeraView app (iOS). Cube also offers support for USB modems for streaming video live over cellular networks.
Cube 655 has an SD card slot that enables you to record the stream for post-production, in which case the recording bit rate and resolution match the encoded stream quality. The Cube 655 also has a configurable test pattern generator that lets you test your stream without connecting a video source, and prevents interruptions if video sync is lost.
You can monitor the video stream on up to six networked iOS devices simultaneously using the Teradek TeraView or VUER app, or six Android devices using the Teradek VLC app, or a mix-and-match of six to accommodate both iOS and Android users. This allows clients, the crew, and the director to see the footage at the same time in real time.
Cube 655 has a robust aluminum housing and an OLED display with joystick navigation buttons. It is manufactured in the USA.
