I had previously purchase a new center column from a well known tripod m manufacture. I was somewhat disappointed due to the design. Purchase this device for less than one half and found it could be used on all types of tripods. The more expensive unit could only be used on on model and one manufacturer. Well build and functional.

The Sunwayfoto DYH-68 Leveling Base with Butterfly Collar (Silver) has angled set screw that can lock a tripod head in place to prevent accidental loosening. The set screw can be tightened with the included Allen wrench.

without an offset bubble level I can't see it, the tripod head covers it completely. Any suggestions?
