SHAPE C70CAGE Reviews

15mm rod baseplate sold separately, but you need it.

there is a terrible design flaw in an otherwise solid cage. The bottom plate is indented with ridges on the sides that actually get in the way of securing the camera to tripods because it prevents either sliding in or locking in place for multiple tripod designs. The edges protrude and block sliding in for a manfroto plate, and for a sachtler quick release plate, the ridges prevent the locking mechanism from gripping the plate. So it's sold as an option without the bottom rod mount, but you actually have to have it, or not use the bottom part of the cage.
