My cable fit fine on my C70 Maybe some were packaged wrong?

Like others have stated, this does NOT fit the C70. The plug is way too small and I'm not taking a chance by trying to force it on. Returned. Would strongly recommend others to not purchase unless they fix this issue.

No, the SHAPE Power D-Tap Cable for Canon C70 would not work with the Canon C500. We would recommend the following cable for the C500 camera. Wooden Camera D-Tap to Canon C100, C100 Mk II, C300 & C500 Power Cable (20") BH #WO249600 • MFR #249600 https://bhpho.to/41wStfj

This cable is unregulated. Will this potentially cause any problems for the camera? Does the C70 have a built-in regulator?
Asked by: Tyler
For a regulated option, with proper power distribution, we would suggest the Wooden Camera D-Tap to DC Barrel Power Cable for Canon C70: https://bhpho.to/3JQzYfD This Wooden camera cable is regulated and would be a more suitable alternative to the Shape Power D-Tap Cable for Canon C70, for proper regulation.

Is there any downsides or concerns with using an unregulated cable like this vs the regulated option from Wooden Camera? Am I ok plugging this into an unregulated 14.8V Dtap source?
Asked by: Ricardo
An unregulated cable like the SHAPE Power D-Tap Cable for Canon C70 will not convert the voltage from the source to another voltage level, so this cable will output 14.8 volts when connected to a 14.8V d-tap port. The C-70 can intake 11.5 to 20 VDC via it's power port, so a 14.8V feed via d-tap will be okay to use with the camera.
