After installing The RE 315 extenders in my house in Puerto Rico, it appears it has no value because of the house structures being in cement with rebar seems to cancel the signal to the extenders. I ordered three units, and they were set up properly, with all the lights indicating they were function. I installed one 8 feet from the router, with no issues, where everything appeared to be working well. I installed the second one 8 feet from the first and that was working as expected. When I installed the third one 8 feet from the second, the power light lid on the Wi-Fi light was dim, the 2.4 light was dim, and the 5G light was off. Numerous attempts were made contacting the manufacture for support, and regardless of how many times we tried resetting it, I had the same results. I happen to swap the number two and three extender, the third extender, after relocating it worked well, and found that the second extender in the location where the third extender was had the same issue. I moved that extender closer, 15 feet from the router behind one of the walls and found that extender had the same issue. I have a different brand of extended there which I’m trying to replace and it has no issues where it’s located. The conclusion is, that for some reason the structure cancels or affects signal to this specific extender. Another issue I found was that my router provides me with 300 mps, and the extender was only giving me 60 MPS. My advices consider it well before buying the TP – link extender if you have a cement house.
