SNUG & SECURE 2

Bought this after a mishap where a long generic USB C cable powering my FX3 on a long live event shoot was dislodged. The internal battery drained down. As I was monitoring with a Ninja and not checking the FX3 onboard monitor closely, the onboard battery drained to zero mid shoot. The Ninja doesn't transfer the Sony display. I plugged the USB C cable back in but it turns out you can't run the FX3 externally without a fully charged battery in the compartment. This Kondor cable solved the cable issue. 1) Kondor USB C connector fits very snugly into USB C ports so it won't pop out easily. 2), the right angle alters the direction of force if the cable is snagged. I got both this medium cable and a shorter cable so use the minimum length necessary for a configuration to minimize snagging. It's hard to find USB C cable locks that won't interfere with the FX flip out screen so this snug-fitting Kondor connector is the next best thing.

Excellent

Is this safe to use for powering my Sony A7IV through its USB-C port using the SmallRig VB99 Pro Mini USB-C output?
Asked by: Amos
Yes, the Kondor Blue 18" Dual Right-Angle USB-C Cable could work with the Smallrig VB99 Pro to power the SONY A7IV camera. We also recommend this dummy battery solution as a better solution to power your camera.
