The PX4-QD 4.5" Arca-Type Double Dovetail Plate with QD Quick Release Adapter Port from ProMediaGear is a CNC machined T6061 aluminum plate with adjustable safety stops for telephoto lens feet. The stops may be repositioned to fit to the length of the foot and prevent the lens foot from twisting on the plate. The 1/4"-20 mounting screw slides within the slotted channel to allow the plate to be balanced against the lens foot while mounted on a head. Additionally, the adapter port is compatible with QD adapters and quick disconnect straps.

So many items are advertised as pro quality without any validation - the ProMediaGear items I've purchased, including this one, are true pro quality - excellent, excellent. Well made with the best materials and machined to perfection - especially important when hanging $20,000 worth of camera and lens from the QD port!

A very nicely made plate and reasonable value. The scale marks are a great feature as is the QD port. One critical function is sorely lacking in execution, the safety stop. A disaster is waiting to happen though if using the foot to carry your kit around. And who doesn't these days? But, be very careful! That tiny threaded stop screw sits very proud and is just waiting to puncture or gouge flesh from your hand. I removed it to eliminate that possibility. I much prefer the solution by others. Otherwise this is a nice foot.

Would this allow the use of both a 1/4 and a 3/8 screw to use with the new Canon 200-800?

Yes, ProMediaGear sells a 3/8" screw you can purchase separately to use with the PX4 Arca plate.
