The tripod system can be folded down for transport to a length of 16.4".

Is the center column removable? Trying to create really low angles.
The center column of the CAME-TV TP-501C Carbon Fiber Video Tripod with Fluid Head (22 lb Payload) can be removed, but when this is done, the tripod head is also removed so that the column can be used as a monopod. The tripod head cannot be mounted to the legs without the center column, so this tripod would not work well for very low-angle shots.
