I had purchased this item to constantly power my sl3 for a meeting that would be 6 hours long. Because of mismanagement on the end of the people organizing the meeting, I was not able to get this until the last minute and couldn't test it beforehand and had to try it day of. Upon plugging it into a power source, it immediately sparked and would not work in the camera even though the indicator light still turned on. I may have just recieved a bad one but I would not take the risk again. Hope this helps

Great product, works very well. The camera doesn't get overheated and it allowed me to film for more than half an hour consistently without turning off.
