So many words, so little info

The author spends so much time filling in background stories, that the information is almost lost. There are few gems to be found but it takes too long to get to them.

Macro Photography is absolutely outstanding! Fabulous information on camera techniques, with reference to shutter speed, aperture and ISO settings. Narrative is professionally written with key statements addressed to novices and experienced alike. Stunning photographs accompany the written word making this book not only highly informative but breathtakingly beautiful to look at. Macro techniques described are set in an easy to follow format , making it fun!!

Less than expected

Macro Photography by Don Komarechka was a disappointment to me it spent way too much time on snowflakes and was very convoluted. It seemed to me more of an ego trip and self-testament to his own macro adventure and not enough practical advice for a broad-based audience. In my mind there are a small percentage of photographers' who have the environment or desire to pursue the frozen tundra of macro photography.

Very enlighten

Even though I have not started to read it yet because I have one more book that I may read or at least start, and I may in conjunction start reading both books. I've viewed some of the pages and the photography is outstanding and beautiful. So, I'm very anxious to start reading the book.
