Although there may be no effect on image quality, this adapter does allow some play between camera and lens. The adapter seems to be a little too thin. I have some older bright aluminum adapters that I removed the contacts from (wouldn't work with my 6DII or 5Ds with the contacts) that provide a solid connection.
