Grundorf SR-1216B Overview

The SR-1216 equipment rack shell is a 12 RU rack and is the perfect solution for managing rack-mountable studio processing including DAW, playback, and recording gear. It is also perfect for installations where a complete road case is not necessary.

The Carpet Series "SR" equipment rack shells have multi-layer 5/8" plywood construction and are finished in an attractive, easy care, black carpet covering. This rack has a 16" body and 15.5" rackable depth. It comes with 12-gauge steel front-rack rail installed. This equipment rack shell comes standard with no hardware. The SR-0416 is shipped fully assembled and ready to load.

Company needs to use cardboard packing material instead of styrofoam. Styrofoam can’t support the weight. So it crushes and breaks. Consequently corners loosen.

A bit shallower than my previous ones of the same model, about a half an inch or so, which happens to be fine in my case. Well made all around.
