The Only Short Telephoto Lens I Need. Not The Best Wide Open In The Corners But When Stop Down To F/4 It's Sharp From Corner To Corner. Also The Price Is Unbeatable. The Build Quality Is Excellent. Full Metal Construction. The Focus Ring Turns Very Smoothly.

Love it

I actually love this lens more than I anticipated. It has a nice bokeh to it. I like manual focus so this lens just hits right 񓀀

Has anyone used this lens for astrophotography, and if so, what did you think of the results?
Asked by: Scott
The TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 Lens for Nikon Z is a sharp manual lens. But most do prefer for astro shots a wider lens. And depending on the camera body you have if it is a full frame, you do not need as wide as a APS-C sensor camera.

Will this lens work on a Nikon Z7?
Asked by: Ralph
The TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 Lens for Nikon Z can fit on the Nikon Z7, but the lens is optimized for an APS-C sensor as found in a camera like the Nikon Z50. The image will be cropped and there will be a loss of resolution.

I just received this with a M4/3 mount. When I put it on my OM-D E-M1 II, I see nothing - looks the same with lens cap off as on. This was listed as compatible for my camera. Tried it at all aperture. My camera did detect that is a MF lens. What more do I need to do Or just return it?
Asked by: Deborah
Thanks for the answer - good to know about the tight fit and tricky connection. However, Ive already returned the lens because of the weight of the lens. Too heavy for a small prime. Along with an Uber touchy connection, it doesnt meet my needs.

The Sigma fp is a full-frame camera but this lens is a L-mount APS-C/Super35 lens. It will fit but you might have to shoot in Super35.

Hi, Does this lens work in a Sony Ar7II? I know it won't cover the full frame, but I wonder how much coverage it would have or how pictures would look. I do not mind some vignetting. Thank you
Asked by: Roberto
The TT Artisans lens will vignette the image on a full frame camera. To avoid vignetting just set the camera to crop mode but that would make the lens into a 75mm equivalent and lower the resolution to about 19mp on the A7RII. As an alternative, there is a 50mm f1.05 lens for full frame cameras: https://bhpho.to/2OxUI1T
