Novoflex CASTEL-MINI reviews

Focusing Rack Small (Mini) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too light... Mounting a Canon EOS 5D MarkII + MP-E 65mm (fully extended to 5x) + Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX in portrait will not work with this rack. The rubber cover of the mount comes loose. Due to the weight the camera can not be fixed tight enoughand the camera will slowly tilt downwards. In landscape it works as expected!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product and works as described. I am not sure why there are so many negative comments about this focus rack. I have used mine for a few months now and it performs flawlessly. I am using a Canon 5D Mark II with a Canon 65mm macro lens tied to a Manfrotto ball head. I have also used it in a vertical position without gear movement, but if it were to slip, I could lock it with the lock knobs. It is built well and focuses accurately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes macro focusing a snap With my Leica R-8 or Digilux 3 using a 60 mm Macro Elmarit and extensiuon tube it is extremely easy to close-focus on tiny flowers simply by setting the lens focus and racking the camera forward and back until the image is sharp. Far easier than trying to coordinate tripod placement AND lens focus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Focusing Rack a must This certainty makes macro photography easier. Before I bought the rack I had to move the tripod camera and all in order to have the lens the correct distance from my subject. With the focusing rack it makes macro photography easier. The construction of the Novoflex Focusing Rack is sturdy and the controls precise. It's well worth the money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not so quick I use the product in close-up work. It is nice and small, very compact. However, it is so difficult to turn the dials that the camera shakes terribly. It's virtually impossible to focus accurately. I wouldn't recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Quality craftsmanship is evident as soon as you pick it up. Since I will use this for RAW file copy work of negatives, it speeds up the process compared to scanning. Very good option to have a 6 x 6 capability to make copies of negatives.
