BenQ ScreenBar Overview

Stylish in black, the BenQ ScreenBar Monitor LED Light is designed to create the perfect desk ambience for working hours in front of your computer screen by illuminating the desk space in front of your monitor to your taste. A built-in ambient light sensor illuminates your desk space up to 930 lux, automatically adjusting itself in response to the surrounding brightness to give you a comfortable work environment.

You can adjust the color temperature and brightness manually as well as turn the light on or off. The ScreenBar has a specially designed clip that lets you easily and neatly secure it to the top of most monitors, illuminating without casting glare on your computer's screen.

The screenbar powers from a USB outlet using the included USB power cable
Manual adjustments are made using touch buttons to make adjustments

Very nice, but expensive for what you get

There are cheaper models of the same thing out there, that do the exact same thing. BenQ seems to think their name allows them to charge a lot of money. This screen bar light works just fine. But so do much cheaper units I've tried. My big complaint about this one is that it does not get nearly as dim as I need it to. The difference between the brightest setting (which is very bright) and dimmest setting (not very dim at all) is slight. I'll use it for now, but eventually I can see going back to a cheaper model that actually gets dim, gives more feedback about changes in settings. This BenQ unit, the steps in brightness and color temperature are so minuscule it's ridiculous. Yes, it works. Yes, it fits my monitor, but I honestly do not feel it's worth $100.

I love it so much that I have two of them!

I love these lamps so much that I have two of them! When I decided to upgrade my computer, I also upgraded my monitors by purchasing two BenQ monitors. But the lighting options I used could have been better, and they were stealing real estate from my desk. So, I decided to try the BenQ ScreenBar Monitor LED Light. I was so impressed by the performance and design of the light bar that I decided to purchase a second one. And boy, I couldn't be happier! A word of warning: if you decide to have a webcam, you must purchase the BenQ Webcam Accessory. The reason is that the light bar usually takes the length of your monitor, leaving no space to install the webcam except for the top of the light bar, which only has a place to put the webcam if you purchase and install the base they sell you as an accessory. That accessory will cost you an additional $20.

The Screenbar fits nearly any monitor: the weighted clip gently rests on nearly any monitor with thickness from 0.4" To 1.2" (1 to 3 cm). It works perfectly on monitors with the bezel wider than 0.8cm (0.32”). Curved Monitor : >=1500R (Not All Compatible). USB cable length is 1.5m (59 inches). Screen Bar Halo: FITS CURVED MONITORS: ScreenBar Halo is designed with its unique weighted clip to fit most monitors. It is compatible with curved monitors from 0.28" to 2.36" (0.7 to 6 cm) thick and >=0.25" (0.63 cm) bezel width. The ScreenBar Halo also comes with a special accessory for curved monitors to reduce glare from either side of the light bar. It is most compatible with 1000R-1800R curved monitors from 0.28" to 1.57" (0.7 to 4 cm) thick. USB cable length is 1.5m.(5.9 inches)
