The result of tireless efforts by TAMA to improve the direct-drive pedal system for maximum versatility, the Dyna-Sync Series Single Pedal uses a newly designed direct drive, the Dynamic Synchronization System, to provide a balance of three critical performance elements: power, speed, and feel. With an optimized transmission system that utilizes a dual-linkage connection and a slidable cam, you get a design that delivers the immediate response typical of direct drives while overcoming the feel and power challenges inherent in many other direct-drive pedals.
Along with the unique custom drive system and a hefty Sync-Coil for quick return, TAMA also includes a number of extra features from the Iron Cobra series, such as flexible footboard angle adjustment, a durable Oiles-brand bearing and hinge guard, and a Spring Tight and Speedo-Ring spring-tension system. You also get the Para-Clamp II Pro bass-drum clamp mount for clamping to the widest possible range of drum hoops without causing scratches.
The smaller turning radius results in a more dynamic (nonlinear) motion. The Slidable Cam promotes a highly personalized and connected feel tailored to widely diverse playing styles.
The Swivel Spring Tight assembly solves this problem, recapturing that lost energy and optimizing smoothness through the use of a contoured assembly that allows the base to swivel freely with the spring. This enables a straight spring pull during the pedal's entire cycle, resulting in the smoothest and lightest action ever found on a bass-drum pedal.
The improvement is largely due to its newly designed three-dimensional rubber grip. Holding power is increased and the possibility of scratching the hoop is eliminated. Setup and breakdown are easily facilitated while sitting on a throne, because the T-bolt of the Para-Clamp II Pro is on the side of the footboard rather than under it.
