Bright Tangerine B4002.1025 Overview

Mount a variety of accessories onto your RED KOMODO or KOMODO-X camera using this Cheese Plate with NATO Clamp from Bright Tangerine. The cheese plate is made from durable aluminum and features multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 accessory threads to mount accessories such as wireless gear, lens focus gear, or a monitor mount.

The lightweight plate weighs only 2.35 oz and mounts onto any standard NATO rail accessory using its integrated NATO clamp. It also features a stainless steel ARRI-style rosette to mount additional accessories such as a handgrip or extension arm. There are slots that pass through the plate to facilitate cable management.

Super light weight. It's thin, but strong. I've had two of these. The first one got bent on the account of the camera being knocked over. It took most of the impact (thankfully) and was bent. I ordered a second one to replace it. If I had not had this on the side of my Komodo it would have been damaged. I use it to mount a grip with the rosette as well as my timecode box. There are plenty of mounting options. I also run cables on the back side of it with a few sprigs to help with cable management. Bright Tangerine is the way to go when building a Komodo out.

I use these on Komodo and Komodo-X. Solid build quality. Threads are lasting great. The rosette placement works while having other accessories attached. I wouldn't routinely put torque on just the rosette as the single handle point (I use an extension arm with a nucleus-M grip), but it IS strong enough to hold an entire 8lb rig alone. It attaches to the cage via a single NATO rail clamp. I use a Factory300 Wedgie plate to quickly attach an Encoder or Teradek, and have a Freakplate 12G SDI DA, while routing my spaghetti with sprigs. Does the job. All things Bright Tangerine come with my regard. Build quality is robust. Excellent customer service (especially responsive for being in the UK -- I am US based). This will fit any NATO rail.

do they make a left and right side version of these? only thing holding me back from the BT cage is not knowing if they have an operator side for this panel. i suppose they have that rosette adapter thing that could work. but these look fantastic. just saw one.

I tried it, and it doesn't really obstruct too much. The fan is fine, if anything it helps shade the camera from direct sun. the Cfast door is slightly obstructed, and a simple repositioning of the side plate makes it accesible. sort of nice to have extra protection of the flimsy cfast door, with a relatively easy to move cover. the only issue is the rosette is then up top. would be great if BT made a left/op side version of this. especially with the Raptor out now.

Does this work with the outrigger handle? Is there enough space between this plate to still grab the handle comfortably?

The Bright Tangerine Cheese Plate with NATO Clamp for RED KOMODO/KOMODO-X Camera would work with the RED DIGITAL CINEMA KOMODO Outrigger Handle in all positions except for the handle in the most downward position.
