TP-Link EP10 Overview

Control a device in your home from anywhere by plugging it into the EP10 Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Plug Mini from TP-Link. This plug enables you to turn a device on and off, such as a lamp, fan, television, or coffee maker. The EP10 connects to your iOS or Android device via Wi-Fi, giving you access to any item plugged into the outlet through the Kasa Smart app.

Once connected, you'll be able to control, schedule, and create scenes for your plugged-in device from anywhere. The plug is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Samsung SmartThings for seamless voice commands. No hub is required for operation thanks to Wi-Fi connectivity.

I bought two 2-packs. I wanted to have my espresso machine turn on in the early morning to be ready to go, I wanted to be able to have lights turn on and off at appropriate times when work takes me away from home. I had a similar product from tp-link that worked fine but which blocked adjacent outlets. This mini format not only looks tidier but leaves adjacent outlets available for other uses. 5 stars for that. Once set up, the devices work well. 5 stars for that. However the scant instruction sheet and the manual available online is very confusing, incomplete and - frankly - excruciatingly hard to follow with a clear sense of where in the process you are. To the rescue!!! I called B&H on the chance that they could give "technical support" in getting the devices to work. As I have experienced over 25 years plus, the person I spoke to went above and beyond in helping me figure out the procedure. To my relief I not only got them working but I was also gratified that the customer service representative agreed that the instructions were terrible. Together we triumphed. I am glad to have the devices in working form and very grateful to the generous dedication to customer support always provided by B&H personnel. I wish I had made a note of the person's name so that I could thank them again publicly.

I have something like 12 or 16 of these around the house now, indoor and outdoor models. They work, the software is great, and the automations you can run are awesome.
