For producers, recording engineers, and mixers in pursuit of a high-class, analog, Pultec-style EQ, the WesAudio LC-EQP single-channel equalizer presents a solution worthy of go-to racks around the world. Its design was finalized after a year of study and coordinating with Polish studios; the result is a passive EQ based on coils, resistors, and capacitors combined with a dual-tube amplification circuit. With the addition of Carnill input and output transformers, the LC-EQP is poised to deliver clarity as well as musical tube character.
It features four bands, configured as two boost bands and two cut bands, each with up to 18 dB of gain change. The low boost and cut bands are shelving filters with six frequency options per band. The high boost band is a bell-type filter offering Q control and 11 frequency selections, while the high cut band is a shelving filter with six frequency choices. The LC-EQP also provides a true bypass function with an "on" LED indicator, balanced XLR I/O, and a voltage selector switch.
