Cool concept, ok execution

I like the concept of the split record box for DJ gigs. It's great to have space to organize, sort or discard played records. That being said there are some drawbacks. First is durability, I've had this for about a year and the hardware on the outside for closing on the back is already getting bent up. The whole case feels kind of cheap and as a comparison my OG odyssey silver case has about 8 years of heavy use and abuse and is doing quite well. Second is material, those black plastic things on the top function as feet when separating the box. They are hard plastic and slip, they should be rubber. Lastly is design. The foam inside the box is not flat at the front and back so i feel like it squishes the end records when full. When pretty full it is kind of tricky to close the box and sometimes pinches records. When the boxes are split, due to the angle on the side of the box you can't put a record in at 45 degrees (picked out to play soon) and still dig like in a flat top box. Overall it is ok but I would most likely not purchase again.
