According to Chat, “Do not connect older flashes like the Minolta Auto 360 PX to your Canon EOS 6D Mark II via any direct cabling, even if the physical connectors fit. TTL won’t work, and the electrical risk is real.” Good plan Chat!

This is an older shoe mount that works with the ae1 era and t90 era film cameras

No, this is for film cameras only. You'll want to use a Canon flash with your camera's hot shoe. Certain Godox flashes and transmitters are also compatible. Please contact us by phone, chat, or email for the latest compatibility information.

My 580EXII on a 5DMII works only in ETTL mode via Pocketwizard III. I presume I am not getting TTL although the flash fires. It won't fire in any other mode.Will this product enable TTL functioning by connecting it to the flash via the Pocketwizard III?Will this product enable use of the 580EX II in the other modes (e.g., manual) as well?Thank you.

The PocketWizard Plus III is not compatible with Canon's E-TTL II system. The only PocketWizard remotes that transmit E-TTL II information is the PocketWizard FlexTT5 and MiniTT5 remotes. There is no accessory that will enable E-TTL II support with any other PocketWizard (or other manufacturer's) radio remotes, as the functionality must be built into the remote itself. The 580EX II will work fine in Manual mode on or off-camera with the PocketWizard IIIDo note that the Canon Off-Camera Shoe Adapter OA-2 is not compatible with E-TTL or E-TTL II or with Canon DSLR cameras, as stated in the Overview of the product.
