The Profoto OCF Softbox measures 1 x 4' to provide a long, narrow beam spread that's useful for a hair, accent, or background light. Great for casting long, elegant highlights on reflective objects, it produces lengthy shadow edges from the long side and harder light from the short side with shorter shadow edges. The softbox includes a strip mask and a bag, and an optional fabric grid is available for separate purchase. The OCF Softbox requires a speed ring for use.

While this softbox will fit the D1, it is not recommended since the modeling lamp is a 300 watt tungsten halogen type lamp and the since the softbox is not rated for heat.

Do you need to by a speedring in order to use the OCF softbox?
Yes you do - the OCF speed ring is lighter than the RFI speedrings, as are the OCF softboxes compared to the RFI softboxes but they are both compatible. But the whole point behind the B2 was to get the weight off the top of the light stand, as we all discovered how top heavy the B1's are on location

I just purchased this softbox and unfortunately, I bent the rods when trying to put it together. I didn't have the color-coded speedring and didn't read the directions closely enough on the speedring that I purchased. Do you know if replacement rods can be purchased? I've tried to bend them back into shape but haven't been successful so far and my softbox looks wonky.
I sent your question to Profoto support and received a lengthy reply with item numbers & prices. The 1.3x1.3 soft box rods are item: 101213 - rod kit - $14.00. You can order parts from willing dealers or directly from Profoto in NJ. The contact person I communicated with is Anthony Ruggiero. Hope this helps.
