By connecting to the 9-pin on the Komodo, I take it with using it with the Komodo you loose the ability to input timecode unless the jam sync happens before installing this product?

The Bebob Vmicro V-Mount Battery Adapter Plate for RED KOMODO, uses the 2 pin Lemo connection to the RED Komodo. It does not use the 9-pin connection, and as such, the RED Komodo Expander, could still be attached to the camera for timecode functionality.
