GVM 1000D Overview

GVM has put together this 1000D RGB LED Light Panel 2-Light Kit with Softboxes to create a complete lighting setup with CCT and RGB color control plus AC or battery options. The kit includes two 1000D LED panels, each with a softbox, a set of 4-way barndoors, an AC adapter, a case, and a light stand. A carrying case for the entire kit is also included.

The 1000D RGB LED Studio Video Light Bi-Color Soft Light Panel is a compact light source that measures just 12.5 x 10.6 x 1.6". It has a wide CCT color range from a warm 3200K to a daylight-balanced 5600K for meeting any ambient light challenge, matching other fixtures, or just for creative expression. The light's high CRI rating of 97 is an indicator of advanced accuracy in rendering color. The 1000D has an RGB mode (Red, Green, Blue) with hue, saturation, and intensity control for access to a myriad of color combinations for fine-tuning and customizing the output. You can make adjustments on the fixture or wirelessly with your smartphone in APP mode via a free download.

The 1000D has a wide beam spread that can be narrowed with the four-way barndoors. Simply swing one or more of the barndoor leaves into the path of the beam to keep light from areas you don't want illuminated. The panel is dimmable from 0 to 100% and features aluminum construction, with a a yoke that allows 360° rotation for unlimited positioning. Each light runs on 100-240 voltage using the included AC adapter, but can also run on two optional NP-F-type batteries when mains power is unavailable

Multifunctional LCD Display Screen
The multifunctional LCD screen displays various parameters, such as brightness, color temperature, hue, and color purity.
Multiple Operation Modes
By switching the mode key, you can adjust Master, Slave, Rotate, and APP modes. When in Master and Rotate modes, press a knob to adjust color temperature, hue, color purity, and brightness from 0% to 100%.
APP Connect Bluetooth to Control Light
Switching the video light to APP mode connects your mobile phone to the 1000D via Bluetooth. This allows you to easily switch CCT or RGB with hue, saturation, and intensity adjustment as well as 8 scene modes.

These are great panels, very adjustable. the app works very well and is helpful with a light on a boom or overhead where you can get to it to adjust. If we did it again we would have gone for something brighter and with better offerings for soft box. Will be trying an umbrella during our next shoot.

The app that works with the GVM 1000D RGB LED Light Panel (2-Light Kit with Softboxes) can work on an iPad or some other smart device. It does not work on a computer.

Hello, do both of the lightstands fit into the carry case?

On the one hand, it would be physically possible to put the stands for the GVM RGB LED Studio Video Bi-Color 2-Panel Light Kit with Softboxes (B&H# GVM1000D2LSB) into the included bag with the rest of the kit items. However, to gain the benefit of a layer of padding between the metal stands and other kit components, you may prefer to use a separate bag for the stands such as Ruggard Padded Tripod / Light Stand Case (27") (B&H# RUBP2027): https://bhpho.to/3gZapKO
