The AKG DMS100 Digital Wireless Instrument System with Cardioid Lavalier Microphone Kit from B&H adds a cardioid lavalier mic to this wireless instrument set, allowing you to also use the system's bodypack transmitter for vocals, speeches, and presentations.
The DMS100 from AKG is a streamlined digital wireless instrument system offering 24-bit/48 kHz uncompressed audio, AES 256-bit encryption, extended battery life, and an easy-to-use setup. It can be used with guitar, bass, or keyboard instruments for a wide variety of live stage, theater, and rehearsal applications in small music venues, wedding halls, houses of worship, and event spaces.
The system includes a 1/4" to TA3F instrument cable and a lightweight bodypack transmitter that will operate for up to 12 hours on two AA batteries. The TA3M connector on the transmitter can also accommodate a wide variety of AKG lavalier and headset mics (available separately) for performers and presenters.
The DMS100 uses a preset selection of four color-coded frequencies in the 2.4 GHz range, allowing you to choose the clearest channel for transmission and leaving the remaining ones available for use with up to three additional systems (available separately). The tabletop receiver offers a range of up to 100' and provides XLR and 1/4" outputs to connect to a mixer or PA system. A universal AC power adapter and two AA batteries are included. A rackmounting kit for the receiver is available separately.
The black AKG LC81 MD Lightweight Cardioid Lav Microphone is one of the smallest cardioid lavaliers available. With a diameter of less than two tenths of an inch and a length of less than four tenths of an inch, it weighs in at 0.07 ounces so your talent will hardly know it is there. Its cardioid polar pattern picks up a wide range of frequencies-from bass to soprano-and provides flexibility in getting the best sound from the source. Placed close to the performer, it accurately picks up low-end frequencies; place it farther away for performances in a higher range.
