Have used with a 3" X 5" LED light and a Canon 580EX Speedlite with a remote receiver so far & it held both firmly and securely. Nice ballhead!

I have tons of mic stands around, but very few tripods. These guys are great for quick setups and oddball uses. I'll probably order more in the future.
