Powering the RING72 is simple with two separately purchased options available: either four AA batteries, alkaline or NiMH rechargeable, or a detachable lithium-ion battery, making the setup thoroughly portable, especially in the field. Additionally, it mounts directly to most lenses and comes with 49, 52, 55, 62, 67, 72, and 77mm adapter rings.

Dual Power
Runs on four separately purchased AA batteries or an optional, detachable lithium-ion battery
Separate Brightness

Godox Ring72 Reviews

Perfect for Macro Photography

I've been playing with my new Godox Ring72 Macro LED Ring light for a few weeks now and am thoroughly impressed with the macro ability. Do not get this confused with a ring light however, as it has a very limited throw of light. If you are looking for this light to do anything other than macro photography, you will not be pleased. This light meets a very specific macro lighting need and does it well. Five Stars for doing what it says. Love the fact that there are various lens conversion rings included as I have a variety of macro lens sizes - 72mm being the largest. You can use the same rechargeable Godox batteries in this unit as are used in other Godox flashes/strobes. Nice feature.

Would buy again

I purchased this light to use with an Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 30mm f/3.5 Macro Lens, and I'm having lots of fun with it. The adapters that came with the light only go to 49mm, so I had to order a Sensei 46-49mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring. If I had been paying attention, I could have ordered the step-up ring when I ordered the light. I also bought eight rechargeable AA batteries, as other reviewers recommended, and I just ordered another 4. On the lowest settings, the batteries last for a couple hours, if I am careful to turn off the light when I don't need it. At higher settings, the batteries last maybe an hour, even with turning the lights off as much as possible. The light also protrudes out from the lens. If I want to have my subject closer to the lens and have it lit, I take the light off the mount and just hang it on the lens. It works okay with a tripod, but makes manual focus awkward. My only gripe is I wish the power cord was detachable rather than hard-wired. It would make storage and removing the light from the camera easier. If I had experience with more expensive ring lights, I would probably have more complaints. But as a first-time experience with this type of lighting, I'm quite satisfied.

The Godox Ring72 Macro LED Ring Light comes with a set of adapter rings. The smaller adapter ring is a 49mm. If your lens front thread is 46mm, you can use a 46-49mm step up ring. Please review the link below: https://bhpho.to/44zJuwr
