Stuffed with as many classic rackmount digital delay tricks as possible, as well as a few new ones, the Raster 2 Digital Delay and Pitch-Shifting Pedal from Red Panda is a sophisticated, performance-friendly delay and pitch-/frequency-shifting pedal designed to deliver everything from restrained, unique character to utter sonic mayhem.
The Raster 2 is a monstrously powerful stompbox with 1600ms of stereo delay time at its core, seven LFO modulation waveforms, and tuned pitch shifting with ±12 semitones tuning and microtonal abilities. Stereo TRS I/O and full MIDI implementation via its 1/4" control jack or USB port make the Raster 2 a valuable addition to any pedalboard.
ript>The core of the Raster 2 is a 1600ms delay time with three ranges for precisely dialing in resonant feedback sounds and instantly changing delay times with rhythmic shifts. The feedback dial allows for infinite repeats and chaotic, textured feedback loops, while a tone control sweeps from dark analog-style repeating to digital clarity. Left and right delay times can be set as a ratio, and can be offset by milliseconds for Haas Effect-like sounds. The two delay channels can be arranged in series, parallel, or ping-pong style.
Beyond pitch shifting, a combination phase and frequency shifter creates subtle evolving repeats, dissonant harmonies, and barber pole flanging (infinite flanging). It can be pushed to extremes for ring modulation and inharmonic shifted delays that distort and break apart.
