The Q Mic Video Kit from Orangemonkie is a comprehensive package with an electret-condenser microphone and a host of accessories for YouTubers, vloggers, and content creators shooting videos on DSLR/mirrorless cameras or mobile devices with a 3.5mm input jack.
At the heart of the kit is the compact and lightweight microphone, which attaches to your camera's shoe mount or mounts to your smartphone via the included holder. The mic rotates a full 360° and offers a dial that easily selects between three different polar pattern options: omnidirectional, cardioid, and a combination of the two.

- The mic mounts to your camera's shoe mount or to your smartphone, via the included mounting holder, and can rotate a full 360°for focused audio capture using the Directional mode; this allows the camera operator to do voice-over recording
- A 1/4"-20 thread on the bottom of the mic allows for attachment to tripods and stands

3 Different Recording Modes
- Directional: Uses a cardioid pickup pattern to focus audio capture on the subject in front of the mic/camera
- Omni: Uses an omnidirectional pickup pattern to pick up audio from all around the mic, great for scenes where you want to capture more ambient sounds
- ASMR: Combines the cardioid and omnidirectional patterns for use on subtle and delicate sound sources including whispers and cooking demonstrations
