Kilohearts Ring Mod is a downloadable plug-in for use in pro-audio mixing, one which delivers a classic ring-modulation effect. The process of ring modulation is hard to convey, but the effects can be described as a metallic warble that sounds distinctly wierd. This effect takes well to automation and can be used to create glitchy risers and moments of tension. This plug-in lets you achieve classic ring-modulation effects with controls such as Bias, Rectify, and Frequency. Change the stereo orientation of the effect with the Spread knob, and choose the modulation input with the Modulator selector. You can mix wet signal with unprocessed audio using the Mix knob.

- Pattern Editor: Edits the current pattern. Click to toggle steps on or off, click and drag to tie steps together.
- Length Display: Edits the length of the current pattern.
- Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release knobs: These knobs control the ADSR envelope, which is applied to your sound using the specified pattern.
- Resolution: Controls the length of one step in the sequencer.
- Mix: The wet/dry mix of this effect. A lower value lets some of the unmodified signal come through.
- Settings Panel: Whenever you have your mouse cursor over a Snapin plug-in there is a small arrow at the top right corner. It opens a settings panel where you handle presets.
- Randomize: Instantly randomize the settings to jolt your creativity.
- Bypass: Quickly disable the effect—especially useful to A/B the sound and decide if you're helping or hurting your mix.
