The DSLR Camera Vixen-Style Dovetail Assembly from Explore Scientific is created from high-pressure injection die-cast aluminum for structural integrity and has a black anodized finish to resist scratches and abrasions. This V-block is 11" long and 1.77" wide and features a laser-etched scale in 2mm increments on one side to help you quickly determine the balance point when placing the camera on the mount head. The opposite side features a stainless steel strip to protect the dovetail casting when securing it to the mount head.
This dovetail plate is machined with three available camera screw positions and comes complete with one 1/4"-20 attaching bolt and spring-loaded safety pin for mounting a camera body. Rubber anti-slip pads prevent unwanted camera movement and protect the camera body finish from marring. This dovetail assembly is suitable for use on all Explore Scientific mounts and other brands of mount that accept the popular Vixen-style dovetail plate design.
