Auray BSM-35R Overview

The BSM-35R is particularly effective when suspending a microphone down from a boom or broadcast arm. M20 and M22 adapters are included for compatibility with many condenser and dynamic mics, and the threaded socket provides a secure locking connection between the shockmount and microphone. For optimum microphone placement, the angle of the shockmount is adjustable and can be locked into position with the locking knob.

Classic Studio Shockmount

The BSM-35R is compatible with many dynamic and condenser microphones, including the Rode Podcaster, Procaster, and NT1-A microphones. It's especially effective for securing a microphone that's suspended down from a broadcast or boom arm.

Eliminates Noise

The shockmount prevents the transmission of unwanted vibrations from the floor or desk through a mic stand or boom arm that can affect the performance of the microphone. When you need to change the mic position, the BSM-35R will eliminate the handling noise. Your audience will never know you moved the mic while it's in use.

A metal mic stand adapter assures a durable and secure connection between the shock mount and mic stand. The standard 5/8"-27 thread fits any mic stand, boom arm, or broadcast arm with a 5/8" stud.

5/8 to 3/8" Adapter

Taking your show on the road to Europe? You might encounter a mic stand or boom arm with a 3/8"-16 thread. The included 5/8"-27 to 3/8"-16 threaded adapter will ensure you're compatible with older European mic stands, and even if you're using a boom pole to suspend your mic.

Will this fit an Electro Voice RE20 or RE320?

The Electro-Voice RE20 and RE320 Microphones have diameters of 2.13 and 2.14 inches respectively, which likely disqualifies them from compatibility with the BSM-35R.

Will this fit the Shure SM7B Vocal Microphone?

No, the Auray BSM-35R Suspension Shockmount for Broadcast, Podcast & Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphones will not accommodate the 2.5" diameter of the Shure SM7B Vocal Microphone. The BSM-35R works best with microphone diameters of up to 2.1 inches that feature M20 or M22 threads. The SM7B also integrates a shock mount into its build that is sufficient for most scenarios and mounting directly to arms and stands.
