Is this compatible with the Nikon D70 (not D70s)? If not, would anyone be able to suggest the correct cable for D70.
Asked by: Karthik
No, the Impact 2.5mm Shutter Release Cable II for Nikon Cameras with DC-2 Connector cannot be used with the Nikon D70. The Nikon D70 does not have a wired shutter release port. The camera only works with infrared remotes. As an alternative one can use the Vello IR Selfie Trigger for Select Canon, Nikon, Pentax, and Sony Cameras, BH #VEIRSU (https://bhpho.to/423D7Qp).

I am looking for a cable to connect the Nikon D70 to my Vello Shutterboss unit for taking time lapse sequences. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately the Nikon D70 does not accept a wired remote such as the Vello Shutterboss. It only works with an infrared wireless remote as shown in this link. https://www.nikonimgsupport.com/na/NSG_article?articleNo=000026486&configured=1&lang=en_SG
