Westone Audio PRO X20 Overview

Professional singers and musicians looking for a high-quality in-ear monitor should check out the Westone Pro X20, a pair of universal-fit in-ear monitors for onstage monitoring by vocalists, guitar players, keyboard players, drummers, and sound engineers. The Pro X20 deliver both comfort and proper in-ear coupling, thus facilitating a large and enveloping sound. The earphones employ Westone’s dual balanced-armature drivers with a passive crossover to deliver a frequency response of 20 Hz to 18 kHz at a sensitivity of 119 dB SPL.

The replaceable braided Linum Bax T2 cable is made from a high-strength ultralow-resistance tensile-wire design with aramid fiber and provides durability and transparency in acoustic transference, with isolation from any mechanical cable noise. The detachable cable offers low microphonics, low crosstalk, and features the most advanced and robust T2 audio connector available.

Included with these earphones are five pairs of silicone eartips of various sizes, five pairs of foam eartips (also in various sizes), and a monitor vault.

Recently received these, fit very nicely in ears, super comfortable, lightweight. Audio is awesome for acoustic guitar and vocals. Super happy with them !

Amazing Monitors

I have been using Westone in-ears for over a decade and I have loved all three pairs I owned. My first pair of UM2's lasted 10 years before I stepped on one of them, I tried gluing them back together but decided I might as well buy new ones. My second pair were UM Pro 30s and they have been going strong for 4 years. I bought this pair of Pro X20s for my wife, but I have been using them the past two weeks. I cannot tell any sound difference between these X20s and the 30s I have, but I will also note that I use them for drumming and haven't listened to them back to back. The biggest difference I have noticed is how light the wire is on these X20s. It is so light and flexible, I can barely tell it is there. When I put them on, I cannot feel the wire at all. Very different than the thick, black, twisted wire on the old UM2 and 30s I have. One last thing I have noticed over the years - Westone in-ears require significantly less volume than any other in-ears I have seen or tried. Before I plug them in to a foreign sound source, I always cut the volume at least 75% from what the last in-ears required. I've also mistakenly blasted full volume sound through both pairs of my older UM2s and 30s without damaging them whatsoever. Definitely worth the price! Go with Westone, you won't regret it.
