Ubiquiti UNVR Pro Overview

Delivering business-grade data protection and scalable storage, the UNVR-Pro UniFi Protect NVR Pro from Ubiquiti Networks provides a seamless plug-and-play surveillance solution. This NVR provides up to 60 days of 4K UHD video storage for 20 cameras, or 1080p video storage for 60 cameras. Offering secure RAID 1, 5, or 10 configurations for enhanced data protection, the unit features seven 2.5/3.5" drive bays that can each accept an HDD up to 24TB. The drive bays are located on the front panel for easy access. A 1.3" touchscreen display allows for concise and convenient video event previewing.

This NVR has a 1000M RJ45 port, along with a 10 Gb/s SFP+ port. The UniFi Protect software and UniFi Protect mobile app for iOS and Android enable remote access from anywhere.

I am impressed, fast scrolling. I have 2 sites and have combined them with vantage point within the NVR's. A few things I don't like, no audio or AI on ONVIF cameras without buying extra hardware. It would be nice if they had an HDMI or VGA out. I have a reolink 180 camera and it's a little flaky, I will abandon this camera and use a unifi 180 b/c of the ai. I am sure they will add more features as time goes along. Hopefully they wont EOL it anytime soon as I bought two. expensive but worth all the features.

Ubiquiti is my go to for home networking and video. Have started to gradually upgrade my cameras to Unifi products and finally got to the point I was past my limit for storage on the Dream Machine SE. Moved the drive from the DM to the Unifi and migrated the cameras over. Added another drive and good to go. Simple plug in and setup. This is the best stuff for high end home use without having to be an IT pro. B&H have been my go to supplier for years now. I'm an end user so i don't buy bulk but these guys always deliver, good prices and speeding shipping. Just don't use anyone else than these guys.

Does this NVR allow the owner to keep the footage private (out of the cloud)?

Yes, the Ubiquiti Networks UNVR-PRO UniFi Protect NVR Pro (No HDD) would be able to provide local storage that would not be cloud based. Please add hard drive storage to the purchase.
