Stunning Looks In Seconds
The Savage Star Light illuminates subjects with a wide, even wash of tunable white light while still projecting its recognizable catchlight effect. Color temperature can be adjusted to create specific atmospheres or to match ambient lighting, from a glowing warm 3200K to a crisp cool 5500K. Fading between these settings is stepless and effortless; use the rear LCD display and knob or connect to the Savage Light Manager app for Bluetooth remote control. When in studio the light may be hardwired for power, but greater versatility is achieved by running the Star Light off of the two included NP-F770 batteries for up to 70 minutes of illumination at maximum intensity.
The design of this light takes advantage of the natural reflectivity of the human eye for portrait photography. By utilizing five hard light sources from individual light panels, the fixture shapes this reflection into a distinct star pattern, a welcome derivation from the traditional ring light. Especially useful for beauty photoshoots, the light is able to deliver several different looks from a single setup when the arms are adjusted to different configurations. Savage has also included a tilting light stand adapter and ball head mount to provide additional degrees of freedom when positioning the light. After the shoot, the Star Light folds up for easy storage in its specially molded carrying case.

Savage Star Light Reviews
Interest light for studio

This light is interesting because it is compact yet unfolds to make a pretty soft light. The subject can find it a little glarey if you try to shoot through it like a ring light, but at 45 degrees it works well. I use it at full power to get a reasonable distance and f/stop and shutter speed. I primarily use it for video so power is not a problem. Unfolding you need to be careful not to break the tabs on each vein.
Interesting light indeed

Was a super deal price wise for sure. But seems well worth the investment. Very compact when folded and this case makes it easy to transport with all the needed accessories inside.
