The Universal Hot Shoe Adapter with 3.5mm and PC Connection from Vello adds a 3.5mm mini phono port and a PC socket sync port to a camera without external strobe connectors and enables attaching an off-camera monolight or studio strobe system. The Universal Hot Shoe Adapter with 3.5mm and PC Connection from Vello adds a 3.5mm mini phono port and a PC socket sync port to a camera without external strobe connectors and enables attaching an off-camera monolight or studio strobe system. The integrated universal hot shoe makes it possible to simultaneously use a shoe-mounted flash unit at the same time, ideal for using a strobe as your key light, and a flash unit for fill. Simply slip the adapter into the camera's hot shoe, connect the external strobe lights, and upgrade your lighting capabilities.

I use this adapter with four separate Nikon SpeedLights in order to connect all four flashes to a splitter and then a trigger from a Cognisys StopShot controller. I needed to buy four PC to RCA adapter cables (about 6-in long) so I could use RCA cable with the controller. They work just fine.

Vello Universal Hot Shoe Adapter won't work well with Sony or Minolta flashes/cameras as their flash shoe is different, but most other models it will work.

Will this work with a Profoto a10 flash? I would like to use it on a hasselblad 503cw. Thanks

The Vello Universal Hot Shoe Adapter with 3.5mm Mini Phono and PC Connection will allow the Profoto A10 AirTTL-N Studio Light to sync at the center contact of the hot shoe and trigger in manual mode. The Hasselblad 503cw camera series do not have a port or a hot shoe to connect this adapter. Instead, you will need a lens with the sync port and a PC male to PC male sync cord.

While it is possible to use the Vello HSA-PVU Hot Shoe Adapter with Safe Voltage Conversion with a Samsung NX10 and Godox AD100 Pro for connection with a sync cable, it has not been tested to our knowledge. Your results may vary.

The Vello Universal Hot Shoe Adapter with 3.5mm Mini Phono and PC Connection has a center pin connection. It will work on any hot shoe with a center contact like the Hotshoe on the Leica M6 Rangefinder Camera.
