StarTech DK30CHDDPPD Overview

Charge your laptop while expanding screen space with the USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C Dock with Dual-Monitor Support and 60W of Power Delivery from StarTech. Connecting to a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C host via an included detachable cable, this docking station utilizes an AC adapter to provide up to 60W of power to a connected laptop. Plug in peripherals using four USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, including a fast-charging and sync port for a smartphone or tablet. DisplayPort and HDMI outputs enable the use of dual monitors at resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz, and the RJ45 port facilitates a wired Gigabit Ethernet connection.

This dock also sports an SD card reader for accessing compatible memory cards. Furthermore, a 3.5mm combo audio jack allows the use of a headset with a mic. This dock is compatible with USB Type-C and Thunderbolt 3-enabled laptops running on Windows, macOS, Linux Ubuntu, and Chrome OS. Please note, host devices must support DisplayLink or DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB Type-C to take advantage of video output.

Supports Dual 4K Displays
This USB Type-C dock expands the display capabilities of your laptop across two UHD 4K monitors. Utilizing DisplayLink and USB Type-C DisplayPort Alt Mode, this dock sports HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, each supporting monitor resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 30Hz.
SD Card Reader
Access SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards or microSD cards via an adapter. The SD card slot can also be used for additional storage and backup through macOS X Time Machine or Windows 10 File History.
Ample Connections
The dock provides four USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports to connect your peripherals, including a fast-charging and sync port. Use the RJ45 port to connect to a wired Gigabit Ethernet port, and connect a headset using the 3.5mm headphone and mic combo port.
Universal Support
Compatible with Mac and Windows, this universal dock works with USB Type-C and Thunderbolt 3 enabled laptops. Please note, laptops must support DisplayLink or DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB Type-C to use the HDMI or DisplayPort video outputs.
MAC Address Changer Utility
This dock includes a free Windows application that enables you to better manage your enterprise network security. The MAC Address Changer utility allows the dock to use MAC address spoofing of the connected Windows laptop rather than the MAC address of the dock itself. This ensures your network administrators have full visibility of each device on the network and can monitor and limit activity accordingly. Nothing but problems

I've been dealing with this docking station for a few months now. Originally my machine (win 11) would randomly bluescreen and reboot. After installing all drivers it mostly works however I get random blue screens on one of my monitors, when my machine sleeps I get a repeating beep through my attached speakers, and the network connection randomly stops passing traffic. I've installed all the updated drivers to no avail. To fix the monitor blue screen I have to disconnect the HDMI to the monitor, wait a minute, and then plug back in and the video comes back. For the random beeping whenever my machine sleeps I have to remember to turn my volume all the way down when leaving my office. For the network issue I bought a $15 USB/Ethernet adapter and it works great. Overall very disappointed in a product that is supposed to be the best with a high price tag as well.

Does not work with DSP connection on Mac

I had bought this with the hope of using 2 monitors with my MacBook Pro, I am running 10.14.3 and I am running the newest drivers as provided by StarTech but the only monitor that is working is the HDMI connected monitor.
