I purchased the above item in June 2026 and, upon opening, noticed the batteries were dated March 2030. I do realize that they are still good (but well into their advertised 5-year shelf life) and so used them immediately. I mentioned this to Aine H (Product Review Specialist at B&H) who very kindly sent me another complimentary 12-pack of the same batteries. Those were dated March 2029! Again, I do realize these are still good batteries and appreciate that B&H tried (and succeeded) to provide good customer service. It seems the best way to buy 9V batteries in bulk is from an actual walk in store so you can visually check the dates to confirm the 5 year shelf life. I will, however, still consider B&H for many other items because their prices, selection and customer service is better than most.
