Frio ENL-FRC2AR Reviews
Expensive and Doesn't Do Basics
This is a bad piece of gear. I have a double folding travel umbrella. The umbrella shaft only fits about 3 inches in before it stops leaving lots of light spill to deal with both into lens and onto background along with an off balance light. Because of the umbrella barely being in the mount, the weakness of the lock was exposed. It would slip and have to be tightened again. The price is ridiculous. A Godox Bowens mount is well under half of the Frio, fits the shaft, locks well, and mounts soft boxes. If you're going to spend this much money, get a MagMod Mag Shoe 2 which justifies its price with quick adjustments. I only bought this Frio because I was on the road and forgot my flash mount. Frio seems to think of itself as high end but at least this piece of their gear is utter trash.
